THE MYTH OF CLAUS BECK-NIELSEN MEMORIAL
CLAUS BECK-NIELSEN MEMORIAL was founded to play and record the songs left by the late Claus Beck-Nielsen. 9 songs were released on the record The European Dream Scream in April 2006 on beckwerk records. In 2007 Claus Beck-Nielsen Memorial played concerts in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Austria and recorded the album Freedom on the March which was released in June 2008.
SOME BODY sings and plays the acoustic guitars in Claus Beck-Nielsen Memorial. Some Body prefers to be just Some Body. Not just anybody or nobody, but Some Body. That's it. Like anybody else Some Body might have had a childhood. Like anybody else Some Body might have gone to schools, have played soccer and sooner or later fallen in love with a girl. Somewhere. Or maybe not. Maybe Some Body weren't ever born and is never gonna die. Maybe.
The late Claus Beck-Nielsen wrote all the songs and lyrics for the first album, The European Dream Scream. Now Some Body has taken over. Claus Beck-Nielsen wrote about love, loss and pain. The Danish blues. Some Body writes about love, war and the world. Some Body went to Iraq. In 2004. Some Body went to Iran. In 2006.
"I'M AM GATHERING THE BAND NOW, WE ARE READY TO ATTACK!" Some Body sings in Hezbollah Wiped! on Freedom on the March. Claus Beck-Nielsen Memorial is ready to attack. With their pro-American free folk and beat the Indies Claus Beck-Nielsen Memorial will conquer the world: "we will rock the Lebanon: We're gonna take your sisters and your mothers and your brothers and your uncles and your nephews and your sons and your grandpa and his sisters and their cousins and their prophets and wipe them off the map!".
Nikolaj Wolf plays the acoustic and electric basses, the piano and shouts. Jesper Uno Kofod plays the drums and shouts. Peter Knudsen plays the guitars, the lap steel and pedal steel and shouts. Mads Ljungdahl is recording and producing. The band lives in Copenhagen. Some Body sometimes sleeps. Somewhere. That's it.
