Das Beckwerk, ENSEMBLE MIDTVEST & the two composers KARSTEN FUNDAL & PETER BRUUN
On the basis of Beckwerk songs, texts and concepts the two composers Karsten Fundal & Peter Bruun and the ensemble for contemporary music EMV is developing a score that will lead to concerts in November 2009 and during 2010 be developed into a full scenic performance.
The scene is Europe, Europe as museum, Europe as camp, Europe as waste land for a love story beyond hope. The main characters and voices belong to He and She, the old philosopher and not least: the Ghost of History.

Das Beckwerk & MARTIN HALL
In 2008 Martin Hall - the Danish King of Pop & Avantgarde - and Das Beckwerk started a collaboration.
The first major result was the appearance of the voice of Claus Beck-Nielsen Memorial on the Martin Hall album "Hospital Cafeterias", January 2009.
The next step was a tour of two puritan gentlemen through the Copenhagen by Night documented by KBH magazine (number 41 - March 2009)
For the time being Das Beckwerk and Martin Hall are developing a concept for a musical performance.

Once a year the voice of Das Beckwerk appears in Literaturhaus Copenhagen to set off on a 1 hour musical journey with the avant-garde of improvised music in Copenhagen art Ensemble under conductor Ture Larsen.

In September 2009 the voice of Claus Beck-Nielsen Memorial and the Swedish computer operating sound-transformer Jacob Riis have opened a laboratory, where they throughout the next years slowly, but violently and yet in painful beauty will transform and destroy a number of Beckwerk songs.
